Ingredients:

1. Boneless and skinless fish -10-12pcs
2. Fennel Seeds – 1/2 tsp
3. Cardamom – 2nos
4.Cinnamon – 2 pieces
5. Sliced Onion – 1 big
6. Chopped green chillies – 4
7. Chopped garlic – 4 cloves
8. Chopped ginger – 2 tsp
9. Curry leaves – few springs
10.Sliced tomatoes -1nos
11. Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
12. Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
13. Garam masala – 1 tsp
14. Red chilly powder – 1/2 tsp
15. Thin coconut milk – 2 Cups
16.Thick cocunut milk-1 cup
17. Vinegar – 1 tsp
18. Oil – 2 tbsp
19. Salt – to taste
For Marinade:
---------------------------
1. Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
2. Black Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
3. Gingergarlic paste – 1 tsp each
4. Lemon Juice – 1/2 tsp
5. Salt – to taste
Preparation:
----------------------------
- Marinate the fish and keep it aside for half an hour.
- Shallow fry the fish lightly in oil and keep aside.
- Add oil to another pan , add 2-4 ingredients to it and saute for a minute.
- To this add 5-9 ingredients saute for a few minutes.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and saute well until pulpy.
- To this add 11-14 ingredients and stir for a minute.
- Pour 2 cups of thin coconut milk along with some salt.
- When the coconut milk is hot, add the lightly fried fish and cook on medium flame for 10-12 minutes till the gravy starts to thicken.
- Finally, pour 1 cup of thick coconut milk and simmer for another 3-4min.
- Sprinkle 1 tsp of vinegar,garnish with more curry leaves.
